Naked Lady Monday

Oh, shit. It’s Monday again. But wait, naked ladies. There, all better. Sometimes, kittens, it’s just that simple. I mean, if our beautiful friend Freida Pinto above doesn’t improve your day exponentially, then I’m not sure anything will. But why am I still talking? Happy NSFWish Monday.

Emmanuelle BeartDid you know Emmanuelle is 47? French women apparently don’t age, either.

Eva GreenThough French women do, in the immortal words of Sir Mix-A-Lot, got back.

Anna FrielSeriously, I still miss “Pushing Daisies” so much.

Jenna FischerYou always have to look out for the nice ones.

Keira KnightleyWell, now I can see why the thought of never having Keira would drive that poor bloke with the flashcards to go fight zombies instead.

Robert Pattinson Filming David Cronenberg's COSMOPOLIS [VIDEO]

This is an on-set video of Robert Pattinson at work in David Cronenberg's latest movie, "Cosmopolis", due for release sometime in 2012. The movie follows a 28 year old billionaire (played by Pattinson) who loses all of his fortune in one day. The story, based on a novel by Dom DeLillo, is a modern version of James Joyce's "Ulysses", taking place in New York, around the year 2000 and is meant to be a thorough insight into the flaws of society, which is pretty much Cronenberg's favorite topic. The movie also stars Keira Knightley, Paul Giamatti and Juliette Binoche.

Official Synopsis: Cronenberg once again gathered a prestigious crew to work on A DANGEROUS METHOD, director of photography Peter Suschitsky (A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE, EASTERN PROMISES), composer Howard Shore (THE LORD OF THE RINGS Trilogy, AVATAR), editor Ronald Sanders (A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE, EASTERN PROMISES, CORALINE), costume designer Denise Cronenberg (A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE, EASTERN PROMISES, THE INCREDIBLE HULK) and production designer James McAteer (GOOD WILL HUNTING, A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE, THE LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMAN). The screenplay was adapted by Christopher Hampton (ATONEMENT, THE QUIET AMERICAN) from his own play.

Seduced by the challenge of an impossible case, the driven Dr. Jung (Michael Fassbender) takes the unbalanced yet beautiful Sabina Spielrein (Keira Knightley) as his patient in A DANGEROUS METHOD. ANNA KARENINA Cast Update

Jude Law
Director Joe Wright is no stranger to literary adaptations. "Pride & Prejudice" and "Atonement" look great on his resume, although, to be honest, his version of the Jane Austen novel doesn't even come close to the 1995 BBC mini-series starring Colin Firth. Then again it's kind of hard to defeat 6 hours of faithful narrative. Now, Wright has taken on the task of adapting Leo Tolstoy's "Anna Karenina". Not an easy task at all, as the movie has had countless big screen and TV adaptations, two of the more recent being the 2000 TV mini-series starring Helen McCrory and Kevin McKidd and the 1997 movie starring Sophie Marceau, Sean Bean and Alfred Molina.

Keira Knightley
So far the movie has  barely even finished the casting process, with all the key roles accounted for. Wright's favorite actress, Keira Knightley (worked together on both of his previously mentioned movies), has signed on to play Anna, while her "Pride and Prejudice" co-star Matthew Macfayden will play her brother, Prince Stepan Oblonsky. Jude Law is set to play Alexei Karenin, Anna's husband, and Aaron Johnson ("Kick-Ass") got the part of Count Vronsky, Anna's lover. Other unknown roles have been assigned to Saoirse Ronan, Olivia Williams (both have worked with Wright on "Hanna"), Kelly MacDonald ("Boardwalk Empire", "Trainspotting"), Andrea Riseborough ("Happy-Go-Lucky", "Made in Dagenham") and Domhnall Gleeson ("Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows", "True Grit").

Wright clearly has a talented cast on his hands, though I'm still on the fence about Knightley. Knowing the director's previous works, it should be a lavish production filled with excellent art direction, a lush score and beautiful cinematography. Remains to be seen just how faithful he can stay to the source material with the limited running time and pacing issues that a cinematic project involves (the novel is about 800 pages long). Filming begins this fall, in Russia and the UK.

SGALGG: The Revenge

You know what I like? I like it when women who break up with guys who then immediately start dating women 20 years younger their junior find a way to still show up their exes in spectacular fashion. So when Elisabeth Moss and Fred Armisen got divorced earlier this year, and then he started to date his 23-year-old “Saturday Night Live” co-star Abby Elliott (he is 43, by the way), I thought, “Bring it, Elisabeth.” Granted, Elisabeth is only 5 years older than Abby, but her ex still managed to trade younger. Well, consider it brought. Besides her continued “Mad Men” success, Elisabeth is set to make her London stage debut next year. Opposite Keira Knightley. Who she falls in love with. In a revival of “The Children’s Hour.” Hmm, getting lesbionic with Keira night after night in front of a live audience? That’ll do it.

So, I could quibble about the play itself. Really, must we revive the lesbian love ends in tragedy and despair thing again? But the casting is amazing and the story while sad is well told. So bully for them. Of course, this role will require research. So let me offer these helpful, Straight Gals Acting Like Gay Gals-y acting tips to Elisabeth to prepare for her West End debut.

Hang out with fake gay ladies.Though you might want to take Joyce up on her offer next time, for practice.

Hang out with real gay ladies.Tell her you like vampires, gay ladies love vampires.

Dress like a gay lady. You know the cop contingent is your favorite float at the Pride Parade.

SGALGG at every opportunity.Erika Christensen looks more than happy to help.

Hey, but no SGALGGing with Tina.Sorry, she’s mine.

Become part of a lesbian ship.Do they have a portmanteau yet?

Become the ham in a very pretty sandwich. That’s the kind of bread you really want to butter.

Add a different kinds of Hamm.I mean, come on, even lesbians like a little Jon Hamm.

Look ridiculously hot.So random women everywhere are forced to go, “DAMN, GIRL.”

When all else fails…

…just keep getting licked.

Never mind the Stanislavski Method, this is the SGALGG Method.

Tank Top Tuesday

The beauty of the tank top is multifold. Form-fitting, sheer, cool, hot, practical, clingy. It is many things in many ways to many people. But one of its near-magical qualities is its ability to transform the wearer. It’s not about looks, though it does look great, but more about attitude. Sometimes when a woman puts on a tank top her shoulders straighten, her jaw sets, her eyes focus. She has a swagger. She no longer cares about being soft. In short, she butches up a bit. It’s hot as hell. Don’t believe me? Well, that’s why I always bring along photographic evidence.
