Rhian Ramos reunites with Dingdong Dantes in a new soap; teams up anew with Aljur Abrenica in a Valentine movie

PEP:

Siya 'yong angel of death in other words."

Nakausap ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) si Rhian sa dressing room ng Manny Many Prizes sa GMA Network Studios noong Sabado, September 17.

Patuloy niya, "And uhm... isa akong mortal.

"Na-in love siya. Parang naawa siya. So, pinigil niya.

"Tapos, may mga exercises din na parang catching and throwing ng balls na we have to catch and throw them.

It's about supernatural na drama na love story."

Dingdong and Marian in Dubai, Paris & Madrid

PEP:

Real-life sweethearts Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera left on February 2, 2010, for Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to be special guests in the Ogie Alcasid-Regine Velasquez Heart2Heart Concert, held in that Middle Eastern city on February 5.

Shortly after the concert, Dingdong and Marian flew, via Doha Qatar, to the land of Marian's birth—Madrid, Spain.

This was to make true on Marian's long-standing promise to her Spanish dad, Francisco Javier Gracia, that she would visit him after six long years of not seeing each other.

The visit was made even more special by the presence of Dingdong, whom Marian got to introduce to her dad for the first time.

Asked how his first meeting with Mr. Gracia went, Dingdong says, smiling: "Magaan. Unang-una, walang parang dialect difficulty, kasi magaling siya mag-Tagalog, so nagkakaintindihan kami. 'Tapos, siguro 'yong kultura natin, medyo malapit din sa kanila, bilang naging Spanish colony tayo dati. He's very groovy pa din, e. And he's a very hardworking fellow. Ang galing!"

But the best part of the trip, Dingdong adds, was seeing dad and daughter happy together: "After almost six years of not being together, e, they were given the chance to be with each other again."

Marian says there were no crying moments between her and her dad at the outset. "More on tuwa talaga," she recalls.

The actress, who lives with her mother, Amalia Rivera, in Cavite, says she took home, not just happy memories, but something more important: her dad's loving words.

"Sabi niya, nakompleto ang buong pagkatao niya noong makita niya ako uli."

Dingdong Dantes and Rhian Ramos reunite in an upcoming series that will tackle death

PEP:

Sabi ni Dingdong, "That's right. After our successful run ng Stairway to Heaven, eto na naman po kami at mag-o-offer sa inyo ng something new.

"Ito po ay kakaibang show na never pang na-tackle sa TV. So, it's something challenging also for all of us."

"Isa lang siyang part of life, interesting siya.

Dagdag pa ni Dingdong, "We wil get the feel of fantasy, of course a little bit of action.

"Tapos siyempre, ultimately it is a love story na talagang magbibigay drama sa mga manonood."

RHIAN ON MARIAN.

Pero paliwanag ni Rhian, "Before, yun nga, parang lagi akong tinatanong about that. Parang naintriga kami nang madalas, pero never na-confirm.

"I mean, at least this time nakatrabaho ko na siya, nakatrabaho ko na si Marian [sa Show Me Da Manny], I feel naman... siguro naman, this time around hindi na kami iintrigahin since makikita nila kami together na wala namang [away] talaga."

Dingdong Dantes paired with Isabelle Daza in Spooky Nights finale

PEP:

"Spooky Nights' the Mommy Returns: Ang Mama Kong Mamaw airs its conclusion this Saturday (August 27). With Dingdong Dantes portraying the role of a mama's boy, Bongbong, the funny episode tells how mothers, even after their death, could be overprotective of their children.

"A free and independent man at last, Bongbong meets the tough yet lovely policewoman named Mary Anne (Isabelle Daza) and they eventually fall for each other.

"Dreading that Mary Anne will only hurt and dominate Bongbong, Mommy Glo decides to return as a ghost and scare the policewoman away.

'Can Mommy Glo separate the couple? How can Mary Anne prove that she is worthy of Bongbong's affection and love? Can Bongbong ever make his mother understand that he can manage his own life now?

'Catch the sweet and funny ending of Spooky Nights Presents The Mommy Returns: Ang Mama Kong Mamaw on Saturday (August 27) after Manny Many Prizes."

Dingdong Dantes, balik-telebisyon

iGMA:

Dingdong talks about his new shows, and reveals kung bakit simple lang ang kanyang birthday celebration this year. Text snd photo by Karen de Castro.

Not too long ago ay nagdiwang si Dingdong Dantes ng kanyang kaarawan. Paano kaya niya na-celebrate ito?

“Wala, ako hindi ako masyadong nag-celebrate, so simple lang,” he reveals. “I don’t know, maybe it comes with age. I’ve been celebrating it almost every year.”

Dagdag pa niya, “Kasi yung binibigay naman sa akin ng GMA every year is a celebration in itself, dahil sa Party Pilipinas parati nila akong wine-welcome doon, so very grateful ako.”

Ano ang kanyang pakiramdam to be part of this new show?

“Well, I think the main difference is aside from the protégés competing against each other, it’s also more of the mentors that are also competing against each other because magkakampi sila e. So pagalingan talaga sila,” kuwento niya. “So this is really exciting because sila talaga ay mentors, and not just mentors, they are stars.”

“I will start shooting na next week. In fact, may meeting kami mamaya. We will talk about the story, and by October I will be back again on TV. So ang mangyayari, sabay-sabay yan,” paglalahad niya.

“Ito naman, Sundays lang naman, so kumbaga, you’ll see a different me. I will be who I am on Sundays. I will portray someone else on weekdays.”

Dingdong Dantes portrays a mama's boy in Spooky Nights Presents: Ang Mama Kong Mamaw

PEP:

"Dingdong Dantes continues his one-month stint in GMA-7's horror-comedy program, Spooky Nights. After treasure-hunting in Da Mami, the topnotch actor portrays a mama's boy in Ang Mama Kong Mamaw beginning August 20.

"Spooky Nights Presents: Ang Mama Kong Mamaw tells of a mommy's boy named Bongbong (Dingdong) and his mother, Mommy Glo (Ms. Chanda Romero), who raised him to be completely dependent on her.

"An actress in the '70s, Mommy Glo has always decided on anything that concerns Bongbong—from the food he eats to the women he dates. She always justifies her meddling by saying that she only wants the best for her son. So far, none of the women that Bongbong dated seem good enough for her.

"When Mommy Glo dies, Bongbong finally gets the chance to be independent and choose the woman he will love. However, Mommy Glo loves her son so much that she cannot rest her soul. She decides to go back as a ghost and continues to interfere with her son's lovelife.
