THE AVENGERS (2012) - On-Set Character Photos

"The Avengers" has just completed filming and is ready to enter the post-production stages. As a last chance for fans to get a look at the real live versions of the beloved Marvel comic book heroes, a series of new images have been made public on the Internet. The photos show Captain America (Chris Evans), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on the set. The movie also stars Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man/Tony Stark and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. Written and directed by Joss Whedon ("Serenity", "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" TV series), "The Avengers" opens in theaters on May 4th, 2012. PUNCTURE (2011) - Trailer and Poster

Official Synopsis: Mike Weiss (Chris Evans) is a talented young Houston lawyer and a functioning drug addict. Paul Danziger (co-director Mark Kassen), his longtime friend and partner, is the straight-laced and responsible yin to Mike’s yang. Their mom-and-pop personal injury law firm is getting by, but things really get interesting when they decide to take on a case involving Vicky (Vinessa Shaw), a local ER nurse, who is pricked by a contaminated needle on the job. As Weiss and Danziger dig deeper into the case, a health care and pharmaceutical conspiracy teeters on exposure and heavyweight attorneys move in on the defense. Out of their league but invested in their own principles, the mounting pressure of the case pushes the two underdog lawyers and their business to the breaking point.

THE AVENGERS - Seven Character Posters

Marvel has released four character posters with the occasion of the Comic-Con. The posters feature the iconic Avengers : Captain America (Chris Evans), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner). Other avengers that will appear in the movie are Thor (Chris Hemsworth), the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) and Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson). "Marvel's The Avengers" will be released in 2012 on May 4th and is written and directed by Joss Whedon ("Serenity"). Remember, you can click to see the pictures full-size.

CAPTAIN AMERICA (2011) - 'Behind the Shield' Featurette

The Featurette sets up the backstory of the character and gives us plenty of details about the concept and making of the Shield, Captain America's tool of inflicting justice on the bad guys. It's a bit annoying how Norton conceived their product placement in the featurette. The whole buy-me concept is completely wasted on me, though. I use Avira. "Captain America: The First Avenger" comes out on July 22, 2011.
