Tokyo's Governor Drops A Nuclear Bomb

Nowadays it seems that "WTF Japan News" is becoming even stranger than the usual "WTF Japan" entertainment media. Remember back in March when Tokyo's governor Shintaro "Blinky" Ishihara said that the devastating 3-11 earthquake and tsunami were divine punishment for the selfish greed of Japanese people? Well, believe it or not, "Blinky" just dropped another bomb by stating that Japan needs nuclear weapons!

“Japan Must Become a Nuclear Armed Military State” - Governor Shintaro Ishihara via Sankaku Complex

Perhaps he should go to Hiroshima or Nagasaki and try to sell that same pitch! Or maybe he should just watch the below video which features footage from a 1984 NHK documentary about nuclear war:

Tokyo 1947-1963 Washington Heights

After World War II, Yoyogi Park, which was a former training area for the Japanese Army, became the US Army's Washington Heights housing complex during the occupation. After the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, the Americans left and the area become today's Yoyogi Park. Below is a photo of the Washington Heights area taken by Tim Stinson:

Life in Japan; Donki & Purikura

I may have had to leave Japan temporarily, but that doesn't mean I can't keep making the 'Life in Japan' picture posts. I have plenty of images stored up, especially from my travels to Hiroshima and Kyoto and I mean LOTS!!

This picture post includes:
- Akihabara Donki
- Purikura Advertising
Location: Tokyo & Hiroshima

Donki are well known for their costumes.
It's fake breasts all around with these costumes.

Men need fabulous wigs too...right?!

Donki always offer cheap but cute glue-on nails.

I think I know why these eyelashes were in the bargain bin - nasty~

A new purikura booth offers a 'moistened eyes' effect - yay?!

The advertising for the 'Essence' machines is always so gorgeous.

Shock, horror!! Gals reading MANGA!! on their phones haha

Japan Prediction: Nuclear Holocaust, Tokyo Evacuated

March 19, 2011: Via NEWiS - Exclusive!!! Who predicted disaster in Japan

In the early 2000s, Russian blogger/engineer Artem Dragunov had a motorcycle accident and was in a coma for 2 days. After that he started having dreams about the future, writing them on his blog, and many of them have come true! On February 21, 2011 he predicted the recent earthquake in Japan.

And his future prediction for Japan is very dire:

artem dragunov

And on March 11th, the day of the quake, he wrote the below comment on his blog Guest from the Future Dream 20022011:

"Let's count. Dreamed a dream the night of Feb. 21. Today 11. Three weeks shorter.
Just at that time dreamed of a lot of water and a couple of big fucking. 11 plus 21 - the beginning of May. HERE Remember - early May .."

Hopefully, this time he'll be wrong.
