Three ReasonsTo Return From The Blog Graveyard

Class: After many pleading emails from you, I've decided to make a brief appearance and give you one hot blog tip. Yes, I'm posting again, but with much sadness!

Ya see, many of my favorite blogs have disappeared off the map! Like your blondalicious teacher (who nearly vanished herself!), many of my favorite blogs have returned to the great Blog Graveyard in cyberspace.

When I was updating my funny blogs Squidoo lens recently, I was shocked and dismayed to discover many missing blogs. Melancholia swept over me. Where did the bloggers go who used to make me laugh or sneer or cringe or....?

Some of these bloggers may now be flipping burgers...or even worse, they may be writing screenplays in Hollywood. Putain! (I feel safe using this last expletive since most of you don't read French and most people don't read my blog anymore either!)

Then I remembered I hadn't updated Blog-Blond since August, and I was one of the M.I.A.! Where had the time gone??? I haven't been flipping or slaving for the man. What was my alibi? Gasp! I too was in the Blog Graveyard!

And did I desire to return From The Blog Graveyard????? Did I have anything more to teach you--my deliciously naughty students?

It was this last question which brings me to post here today. I can't fit everything into my *much different* Twitter, Facebook, Plurk and Squidoo pages. This is why blogs are still valuable: I can ramble on for as long as I wish and BE the blondalicious Blog-Blond!

If I wish to rant, teach, seduce, beguile, or tease you, I need a blog! This is my reason NUMERO UNO to return and post.

My Reason Number Two: I've many slavish fans who depend upon my preposterous, retarded humor to make them laugh. No other blond will do OR so they say. (A Tiger story if there ever was one!) In these harsh times, any laugh is worth it's weight in gold.

My Reason Number Three is to instruct you. I've learned a thing or two in the years I've been online, and why not share my knowledge?

With Number Three in mind, here's my Hot Blog Tip of the Year: sign up for Nutshell Mail if you're on Twitter, Facebook, or MySpace.

Nutshell Mail will save you loads of time dealing with some of the nut cases you'll meet, especially the ones who follow you with the intention of dumping/unfollowing you to build up their numbers.

Nutshell Mail gives you the lowdown several times a day direct to your email about who your new followers and unfollowers are. It gives me great satisfaction to return the favor asap to the unfollowers. Here's what N.M. says about the 'WHY' on their homepage: "The busy social networker who doesn't have time to hang out online all day."

Does that sound like you? The busy social networker? Yep, thought so! Me too! That's why N.M. has been such a Goddess-Send!

To summarize: you'll see me again....read my posts again...not to worry. I love sharing hot blog tips! I love Retro! I love you!

Ciao!

Blog Day Blogging

Class, as my most brilliant students know, today is Blog Day! And since your blondalicious teacher lives all the way in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and since she's a late riser, my day is just beginning...while for many of you, Blog Day has already come and gone. Nevertheless, I'm participating by celebrating this day even if I'm late to arrive at the party---all the better for dramatic entrances, especially if you were to see me wearing my black silk teddy, eh?

Here's the instructions for Blog Day copied from their website:

"BlogDay posting instructions:

1. Find 5 new Blogs that you find interesting
2. Notify the 5 bloggers that you are recommending them as part of BlogDay 2007
3. Write a short description of the Blogs and place a link to the recommended Blogs
4. Post the BlogDay Post (on August 31st) and
5. Add the BlogDay tag using this link:
http://technorati.com/tag/BlogDay2007 and a link to the BlogDay web site at http://www.blogday.org

Celebrate!"

*********
So since your Blondalicious Teacher abhors boring blogs and only likes fetching, weird, risky/frisky blogs and bloggers, here goes with my 5 New Blogs I find interesting/freaky/fun/delicious and why:

1. Omyword! Just read her posts, and you'll understand why I feel she's a yummy read! 'Nuf said!

2. Olga The Traveling Bra
Even though this blog hasn't been updated lately, I still get a good laugh looking at the pictures. The adventurous spirit combined with the photos make this blog very funny.

3. Akromatika
Satire with naughty four letter words that your politically correct teacher never uses but still likes to read on other blogs! 'Nuf said twice!

4. Magnificent Bastard
This is the snarky male twin for Go Fug Yourself blog. I laugh my a$$ off every time I read it, and that's why my a$$ is so tiny.

5. I Hate Your Job
This blogger helps us appreciate and celebrate our own no-jobness in the most hilarious prose.

Needless to say, there's lots of other great blogs to be found at "Humor-Blogs.com", so if you want to spend your weekend laughing, then you won't run out of funny blogs to read. Of course, you can also suggest more funny blogs for me to add to my Squidoo lens called Funny Blogs because I'm always on the lookout for something NEW to make me giggle. And if you're still hungry, check out my Tumble blog filled with silly cartoons, photos, and photos.

Squidoo is a Do-Do

Class, lately I have become totally infatuated with Squidoos or Squids as some call them. They are like a country cousin to blogs, but they are more tightly focused on a specific subject. If you have a passion for something and know a lot about it, Squidoos are your answer. They're not nearly as complicated as blogs and require little computer prowess-- placing somewhere between a Tumblelog and a blog in tech skill level. Of course, the great lenses are a glory to behold for they are so ALL inclusive!!

Many bloggers are also successful Squidoo lens masters.

Due to having acquired a mentor who held my hand through my first Squidoo creation and marketing, my first two Squidoos are ranking fairly high for baby Squidoos. One of them is at 2,237 and the other at 3,074 ranking. My mentor has Stumbled them for me which I'm sure helped a lot.

You can earn money for your favorite charities with your Squidoos (lenses), or you can keep all the money earned from the advertising revenue (they split it with you) and through your own insertion of products from sites such as Amazon, eBay, iTunes and others.

You can add a RSS feed from your blog--another great feature and yet another way to gain readership for your blog!

You can create lenses to sell products, plus create lenses to get quality backlinks to your other blogs and sites such as I've done. Google seems to also have an infatuation with Squidoo so if you link to a site from there, you can have the site spidered and indexed quickly. You will also receive a good ranking for your Squidoo pages on Google.

Have any of my naughty students created a Squid? I'll show you mine if you show me yours. Errr....I mean we'll show, share and trade five stars. And if you don't know what I mean by five stars, go do your homework and find out! Get with the program!

Mr. "Humor-Blogs.com", are you a Squid-ee aussi?
