The Andi-Albie saga continues: Albie mum on Andi's blog post and on quitting showbiz

When news of young actress Andi Eigenmann’s pregnancy hit the surface and was finally admitted by her father, veteran actor Mark Gil, it spawned interest among showbiz watchers waiting for the revelation of what might be obvious already to some-who the father is.

What made this story so much more celebrated was the fact that, prior to her being in that interesting state, she also went through a controversial breakup with actor Albie Casiño. Not only were there rumors that Albie had been hurting her physically, another nasty issue surfaced when people got wind of Albie’s posts online—via his Formspring account—that cast Jaclyn Jose’s daughter in a bad light. And with that, the possibility of Albie fathering Andi’s child is big news indeed.

After a series of news items that had both sides weighing in on the pregnancy issue, and other names being dragged into the fray— like Jake Ejercito, Andi’s rumored new boyfriend—the 21-year-old mother-to-be wrote a revealing blog on http://andieigengirl.posterous.com dated Sept 4 and titled “#welliwasneverreallytheconventionaltype,” naming Albie as her child’s father.

Andi had originally written: “Maybe instead of feeling bad that Albie left me to take on this responsibility by myself, I should thank him for giving me the opportunity go out and find genuine happiness once again.”

She later added, “I'd obviously love for him to be around eventually. You know, to save myself the struggle to find a good way to explain his absence to his child… All I hope is that he's well.”

However, Andi removed Albie’s name the day after posting the blog—replacing it with the term “baby daddy”—which, according to “The Buzz,” was a move to stop people from reacting further to it.

When Andi was cornered last Friday at an event participated in by her father and brother Gabby Eigenmann, she would only say, “No, I wouldn’t like to comment, sorry…”

He refused to comment on Andi’s blog post, and would not say anything about the rumor that his family is planning to file suit because of it. What he relented to talk about are his future plans.

“Gusto ko naman po talaga mag-aral eh,” he said in the taped interview. “Pero iniisip ko pa kung ano, kasi yung course talaga na gusto ko, psychology. Eh mahirap namang i-balance ‘yun sa showbiz so kailangan po talagang mamili…”

Andi Eigenmann: Albie Casiño is the father of my child

"I remember, just months ago, I was so into setting up a tea party even by myself, while waiting for the ceremonial 'I do's' of Prince William and Kate. I was dreaming with my eyes open as I envisioned myself having my wedding similar, with only less of a budget difference, as compared to theirs. Now, I have to stay home and deal with feeling like a planet, while I wait for the ultimate due date. I thought, maybe thinking about how my life should be right now, like the freedom and lightness of dreaming of the next wedding of the century, would readily bring me to tears again. Tears of regret in terms of being fully aware of the greatness and success that should have been. But no. No, because God really does love me.

"As soon as I have learned to embrace the fact that instead of having a child at the age of 29, it was blessed upon me as early as now, all those points that would usually bring me to endless tears, have remained to be dreams, STILL highly possible from coming true. This just goes to show that, yes, amidst the lack of maternal instincts and no ounce of being nurturing or maternal whatsoever, I am now undoubtedly ready to raise a child on my own. Of course this comes with being lucky enough to have the best set of supportive family members. Sadly, in life, not everything has to go our way. God didn't create us to be immature spoiled brats who have to get everything as planned. Nothing's perfect, but I can assure you one thing: God is awesome and He knows what's best for us, without a doubt. Though not everything may go our way, things will always end up to be just what would keep us happy and contented. The key I guess, is to not expect things way too much. This will only lead to our hearts being bruised and then scarred. I've had my fair share of heartbreak and pain, and I must admit, they didn't go so well at all. But it's not like Im the daughter of Satan walking the streets of Earth to help let evil overpower this world. I go about each and everyday making sure, I do things that I want, and believe is right, specially without hurting anyone. I never intend to come off as a bad person, in any way whatsoever. And so this state I'm in is something I shouldn't and wouldn't be ashamed of.

"So what about walking down the isle in my awesome white gown? With make up i would try to do myself, just like royals, Kate Middleton and Queen Elizabeth have done? What about my goal of having the next wedding of the century with lovely guests wearing the trendiest hats? What about grabbing even half as much acting awards as my mom and dad? What about that goal to set out and make a difference? What about that entire journey to genuine happiness through success? What about them all? The answer to that isn't even that there are better things planned out for me. Its-- I just need to wait patiently for the perfect time. Everything will soon fall into place."

Affleck and Garner expecting third child

Ben Affleck, 39, and Jennifer Garner, 39, are expecting their third child.

Beyonce's pregnant, breaks Twitter record

Beyoncé’s “big VMA [MTV Video Music Awards] moment” where she revealed her pregnancy to the world set a new record for microblogging site Twitter for most number of tweets per second (TPS).

This is according to a tweet posted by Twitter’s Carolyn Penner on its PR feed, @twitterglobalpr, on Aug. 30 at 5:08 AM.

“Last night at 10:35pm ET, Beyonce's big MTV #VMA moment gave Twitter a record bump: 8,868 Tweets per second,” Penner posted.

The previous record was at 7,196 TPS made during the FIFA Women’s World Cup finals held in Japan on July 17, as posted on Twitter’s official account (@twitter).

The 2011 VMA was held on Sunday evening, US time, at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, California.

“Tonight I want you to stand up on your feet. I want you to feel the love that's growing inside of me!” Beyoncé said as she hit the stage.

After performing her song “Love on Top,” the singer threw her mic on the floor and unbuttoned her purple blazer to reveal her bump as she happily rubbed her tummy.

But some hours before her performance, Beyoncé already broke the news on the red carpet.

BABY BOY. Sobrang saya nga nina Ogie at Regine nang makumpirma nila na lalaki ang magiging panganay nila.

May dalawa nang anak na babae si Ogie sa una niyang asawa na si Michelle Van Eimeren—sina Sarah at Leila.

"Yes, of course! Kaya nga ang concert ko... O, di ba, okay ba ang segue ko?" natatawang biro pa niya.

"Yung concert ko sa August 23, sa Resorts World, ang title no'n, Celebration.

"It's a celebration of sorts, celebrating this special gift. It's time to celebrate."

Ine-expect daw ni Ogie at Regine na ipapanganak ang baby nila sa November 22 bilang ito raw ang due date ng Asia's Songbird.

"Nathaniel James" ang napiling pangalan nina Ogie at Regine sa kanilang baby boy.

Kinumpirma ng singer-songwriter na si Ogie Alcasid na "Nathaniel James" ang pangalang napili nila ng kanyang misis na si Regine Velasquez-Alcasid para sa kanilang magiging first born.

Ipinahayag ito ni Ogie sa press launch ng OPM Summit and Fair na ginawa sa Mesa Restaurant, Tomas Morato Ave., Quezon City kahapon, July 28.

THE NAME. Ipinaliwanag ni Ogie kung bakit Nathaniel James ang napili nila ni Regine na pangalan ng kanilang magiging baby boy.

May balita kasing baka raw "Herminio Jr." ang ibigay nilang pangalan sa baby nila.

"Well, there's nothing wrong naman kung i-junior ko ang baby namin.

"Kaso, hindi na akma sa panahon natin ngayon ang pangalang Herminio, di ba?" natatawang sabi ni Ogie.

"Nagsasabi lang naman ako ng totoo. Ilan bang bata ang pinapangalanan na Herminio ngayon, di ba?

"Ako na lang yata ang huling napangalanan no'n, e."

Paliwanag pa niya, "Napili namin yung Nathaniel kasi parang bagay na bagay.

"Mayamang pakinggan ang pangalan, di ba? Sosyal na sosyal.

"At gusto naming nickname niya ay Nate. Para lang siyang isa sa characters ng Gossip Girl!

"Kaya kapag tinawag namin siya, 'Nate!' Uy, ang sosyal!

"Yung James naman, matagal na naming gusto ni Reg ang pangalan na James. Biblical name kasi ang James at match siya sa Nathaniel.

"Kaya sosyal na, magiging malapit pa sa Diyos ang anak namin."

BLOOMING. Almost five months na ang dinadala ni Regine ngayon.

Ayon kay Ogie, "My wife is doing very well.

"Wala na siyang mga nararanasan na complications, unlike noong first trimester niya. Talagang sakripisyo tayo sa mga nararamdaman niya.

"Now, okey na okey na siya. Nakakakilos na siya nang maayos.

"Iniiwasan ko lang na patawanin siya nang husto. Kasi kapag tumawa 'yang si Reg, sobra-sobra at sumasakit ang tiyan niya!

"Kaya as much as possible, ayokong mag-joke sa kanya para matawa siya nang husto."

Kuwento ni Ogie, hindi raw naniniwala si Regine kapag may mga nagsasabi sa Songbird na maganda siyang magbuntis. Feeling daw kasi nito ay nabawasan na ang ganda niya mula nang mabuntis siya.

Ani Ogie, "Yun naman ang parati kong inaalis sa isipan niya. Hindi siya pumangit. Iba nga ang glow niya ngayon.

"Kahit sa akin kasi, hindi siya naniniwala na maganda siyang magbuntis.

"Hindi ko naman masisisi ang misis ko, kasi lahat naman yata ng mga babaeng nabubuntis ay pakiramdam nila ay hindi na sila maganda.

"Sabi pa nga nila, kapag lalake ang ipinagbubuntis ng babae, lumalaki ang ilong tapos nangingitim daw ang leeg and all that.

"With Regine, wala akong makitang gano'n.

"I always tell her that she is glowing and she is beautiful. Hindi ko siya ine-echos.

"Gusto ko ay maging happy siya while she's pregnant.

"Kapag nakikita ko nga 'yang ngumingiti, natutuwa ako kasi ang ganda-ganda niyang magbuntis talaga," saad ni Ogie.

PREPARATIONS. Naikuwento rin ni Ogie na inuunti-unti na nila ang pag-aayos ng magiging kuwarto ng baby nila.

Although hindi pa raw nila napipili kung ano ang magandang kulay, may mga gamit na raw na sinubukang buuin ni Ogie.

"Meron na siyang crib at yung stroller," banggit niya.

"Ang hirap palang buuin yung crib. Kasi, marami na palang features ang mga crib ngayon.

"May MP3 player na, may pang-uga na siya, at kung anu-ano pang ikinakagulat ko.

"E, noong araw, yung crib, tulugan lang ng bata. Ngayon, parang kulang na lang ay IMAX at 3D!" tawa niya ulit.

"Pero nasubukan ko namang mag-DIY [Do-It-Yourself] dahil para naman may maipagmalaki ako sa anak namin.

"Yung ibang gamit niya, baka sa baby shower na lang namin makuha.

"May baby registry naman kaya pipiliin na lang namin ang kulang at bahala na ang mga guest kung ano ang kunin nila."

GODPARENTS. Tungkol naman sa magiging godparents ng kanilang baby, hindi pa raw nagagawa ng mag-asawa ang final list.

"Sinabi ko nga kay Reg, para sosyal ang mga gamit ng baby namin, ang kunin naming mga ninong at ninang ay mayayaman.

"Para siguro kami na mamahalin ang mga gamit ni baby!" biro ni Ogie.

"But seriously, with regards sa mga ninong at ninang, hindi pa namin naaayos 'yan.

"Though may mga nagbu-volunteer na, siyempre nasa amin pa rin kung sino ang gusto naming tumayong second parent ng baby namin.

"Kailangan yung kilalang-kilala namin at part na siya ng pamilya namin."

BABY BOY. Sobrang saya nga nina Ogie at Regine nang makumpirma nila na lalaki ang magiging panganay nila.

May dalawa nang anak na babae si Ogie sa una niyang asawa na si Michelle Van Eimeren—sina Sarah at Leila.

"Yes, of course! Kaya nga ang concert ko... O, di ba, okay ba ang segue ko?" natatawang biro pa niya.

"Yung concert ko sa August 23, sa Resorts World, ang title no'n, Celebration.

"It's a celebration of sorts, celebrating this special gift. It's time to celebrate."

Ine-expect daw ni Ogie at Regine na ipapanganak ang baby nila sa November 22 bilang ito raw ang due date ng Asia's Songbird.

"Nathaniel James" ang napiling pangalan nina Ogie at Regine sa kanilang baby boy.

Kinumpirma ng singer-songwriter na si Ogie Alcasid na "Nathaniel James" ang pangalang napili nila ng kanyang misis na si Regine Velasquez-Alcasid para sa kanilang magiging first born.

Ipinahayag ito ni Ogie sa press launch ng OPM Summit and Fair na ginawa sa Mesa Restaurant, Tomas Morato Ave., Quezon City kahapon, July 28.

THE NAME. Ipinaliwanag ni Ogie kung bakit Nathaniel James ang napili nila ni Regine na pangalan ng kanilang magiging baby boy.

May balita kasing baka raw "Herminio Jr." ang ibigay nilang pangalan sa baby nila.

"Well, there's nothing wrong naman kung i-junior ko ang baby namin.

"Kaso, hindi na akma sa panahon natin ngayon ang pangalang Herminio, di ba?" natatawang sabi ni Ogie.

"Nagsasabi lang naman ako ng totoo. Ilan bang bata ang pinapangalanan na Herminio ngayon, di ba?

"Ako na lang yata ang huling napangalanan no'n, e."

Paliwanag pa niya, "Napili namin yung Nathaniel kasi parang bagay na bagay.

"Mayamang pakinggan ang pangalan, di ba? Sosyal na sosyal.

"At gusto naming nickname niya ay Nate. Para lang siyang isa sa characters ng Gossip Girl!

"Kaya kapag tinawag namin siya, 'Nate!' Uy, ang sosyal!

"Yung James naman, matagal na naming gusto ni Reg ang pangalan na James. Biblical name kasi ang James at match siya sa Nathaniel.

"Kaya sosyal na, magiging malapit pa sa Diyos ang anak namin."

BLOOMING. Almost five months na ang dinadala ni Regine ngayon.

Ayon kay Ogie, "My wife is doing very well.

"Wala na siyang mga nararanasan na complications, unlike noong first trimester niya. Talagang sakripisyo tayo sa mga nararamdaman niya.

"Now, okey na okey na siya. Nakakakilos na siya nang maayos.

"Iniiwasan ko lang na patawanin siya nang husto. Kasi kapag tumawa 'yang si Reg, sobra-sobra at sumasakit ang tiyan niya!

"Kaya as much as possible, ayokong mag-joke sa kanya para matawa siya nang husto."

Kuwento ni Ogie, hindi raw naniniwala si Regine kapag may mga nagsasabi sa Songbird na maganda siyang magbuntis. Feeling daw kasi nito ay nabawasan na ang ganda niya mula nang mabuntis siya.

Ani Ogie, "Yun naman ang parati kong inaalis sa isipan niya. Hindi siya pumangit. Iba nga ang glow niya ngayon.

"Kahit sa akin kasi, hindi siya naniniwala na maganda siyang magbuntis.

"Hindi ko naman masisisi ang misis ko, kasi lahat naman yata ng mga babaeng nabubuntis ay pakiramdam nila ay hindi na sila maganda.

"Sabi pa nga nila, kapag lalake ang ipinagbubuntis ng babae, lumalaki ang ilong tapos nangingitim daw ang leeg and all that.

"With Regine, wala akong makitang gano'n.

"I always tell her that she is glowing and she is beautiful. Hindi ko siya ine-echos.

"Gusto ko ay maging happy siya while she's pregnant.

"Kapag nakikita ko nga 'yang ngumingiti, natutuwa ako kasi ang ganda-ganda niyang magbuntis talaga," saad ni Ogie.

PREPARATIONS. Naikuwento rin ni Ogie na inuunti-unti na nila ang pag-aayos ng magiging kuwarto ng baby nila.

Although hindi pa raw nila napipili kung ano ang magandang kulay, may mga gamit na raw na sinubukang buuin ni Ogie.

"Meron na siyang crib at yung stroller," banggit niya.

"Ang hirap palang buuin yung crib. Kasi, marami na palang features ang mga crib ngayon.

"May MP3 player na, may pang-uga na siya, at kung anu-ano pang ikinakagulat ko.

"E, noong araw, yung crib, tulugan lang ng bata. Ngayon, parang kulang na lang ay IMAX at 3D!" tawa niya ulit.

"Pero nasubukan ko namang mag-DIY [Do-It-Yourself] dahil para naman may maipagmalaki ako sa anak namin.

"Yung ibang gamit niya, baka sa baby shower na lang namin makuha.

"May baby registry naman kaya pipiliin na lang namin ang kulang at bahala na ang mga guest kung ano ang kunin nila."

GODPARENTS. Tungkol naman sa magiging godparents ng kanilang baby, hindi pa raw nagagawa ng mag-asawa ang final list.

"Sinabi ko nga kay Reg, para sosyal ang mga gamit ng baby namin, ang kunin naming mga ninong at ninang ay mayayaman.

"Para siguro kami na mamahalin ang mga gamit ni baby!" biro ni Ogie.

"But seriously, with regards sa mga ninong at ninang, hindi pa namin naaayos 'yan.

"Though may mga nagbu-volunteer na, siyempre nasa amin pa rin kung sino ang gusto naming tumayong second parent ng baby namin.

"Kailangan yung kilalang-kilala namin at part na siya ng pamilya namin."
