SHARK NIGHT 3D - 'Meet the Sharks' Featurette





"Shark Night 3D" just opened in theaters, so here's a featurette about the sharks in the movie. The behind-the-scenes clip gives us some insight about the creation of the sharks, the usual combination of animatronics and CGI, some cast and crew interviews, and, of course, some more footage from the movie. "Shark Night 3D" is directed by David R. Ellis ("Final Destination 2", "Snakes on a Plane").

RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES (2011) - WETA Visual Effects Featurette






This featurette is an in-depth look into the complex process of bringing the apes in "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" to life, using the technology developed by WETA Digital, the visual effects company that worked on "Lord of the Rings", "King Kong" and "Avatar". The results are indeed breathtaking and this could possibly earn WETA another Oscar for their amazing visual effects. And it might be time for Andy Serkis to receive some well deserved recognition during the awards season as well. "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" is now in theaters.

GREEN LANTERN Parody (Youtube)



So, apparently the trouble the filmmakers had with "Green Lantern" was all about using the green screen for the CGI, because the hero is, well, green. Which explains why Warner Bros. dumped so much money into the movie. Or, at least, it could explain it, 'cause this is but a parody of the bloated superhero movie's production efforts.
