THE CHANGE-UP (2011) - 6 New Movie Clips

"The Change-Up" is a classic body-switch scenario, like we've seen in "Freaky Friday", except this is going to be a gross-out raunchy comedy, considering it's directed by David Dobkin ("The Wedding Crashers") and written by Jon Lucas & Scott Moore ("The Hangover"). Jason Bateman plays Dave, lawyer/husband/father of three. Ryan Reynolds plays Mitch, single man-child. Each one wants what the other one has, so fate decides to let them have a go at each other's lives. The movie opens on August 5, 2011.

THE CHANGE-UP (2011) - Red Band Trailer

Official Synopsis: Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman star in The Change-Up, from director David Dobkin (Wedding Crashers), writers Jon Lucas & Scott Moore (TheHangover) and producer Neal Moritz (Fast & Furious, Click). The R-rated comedy takes the traditional body-switching movie, ties it up tightly and throws it off a cliff.

Growing up together, Mitch (Reynolds) and Dave (Bateman) were inseparable best friends, but as the years have passed they’ve slowly drifted apart. While Dave is an overworked lawyer, husband and father of three, Mitch has remained a single, quasi-employed man-child who has never met a responsibility he liked. To Mitch, Dave has it all: beautiful wife Jamie (Leslie Mann), kids who adore him and a high-paying job at a prestigious law firm. To Dave, living Mitch’s stress free life without obligation or consequence would be a dream come true.

Following a drunken night out together, Mitch and Dave’s worlds are turned upside down when they wake up in each other’s bodies and proceed to freak the &*#@ out.

Despite the freedom from their normal routines and habits, the guys soon discover that each other’s lives are nowhere near as rosy as they once seemed. Further complicating matters are Dave’s sexy legal associate, Sabrina (Olivia Wilde), and Mitch’s estranged father (Alan Arkin). With time not on their side, Mitch and Dave comically struggle to avoid completely destroying each other’s lives before they can find a way to get their old ones back.

Genre: Comedy

Starring: Jason Bateman, Ryan Reynolds, Olivia Wilde, Leslie Mann, Alan Arkin,

Director: David Dobkin ("The Wedding Crashers")

Screenplay: Jon Lucas, Scott Moore ("The Hangover")

Rated R for pervasive strong crude sexual content and language, some graphic nudity and drug use

Release Date: August 5, 2011 (US)

GREEN LANTERN (2011) - Four New TV Spots

Here are three new TV Spots for "Green Lantern", the highly anticipated comic book adaptation from director Martin Campbell ("Casino Royale", "Edge of Darkness"). The clips offer some new footage mixed in with everything we've already seen in the countless spots and trailers that came before. One of them even brags about how enthusiastic critics are about this movie, by way of those eloquent one-word quotes. The early reviews I've been reading are far from being as postivie as Warner Brothers wants us to believe they are, but I guess we'll find out soon enough. The movie opens in theaters this week, as announced by another one of the TV Spots which signals the 3-day countdown.
