Halloween II (1981)


Synopsis:  Picking up precisely where its predecessor left off, Halloween II follows the same ill-fated characters as they encounter the knife-wielding maniac they left for dead in the first Halloween. It seems the inhuman Michael Myers is still very much alive and out for more revenge as he stalks the deserted halls of the hospital where his sister (Jamie Lee Curtis) lays waiting. As he gets closer and closer to his terrified target, Dr. Loomis (Donald Pleasence) discovers the chilling mystery behind the crazed psychopath's savage actions. Written by horror masters John Carpenter (The Thing) and Debra Hill (Escape from New York), Halloween II is a spine-tingling dark ride into the scariest night of the year.

The Frighteners (1996)

Manhunter (1986)

Synopsis:  Agent Will Graham (William Petersen) is coerced into joining the FBI manhunt to capture a mass murderer known only as 'The Tooth Fairy,' because of his predilection for biting his victims. Graham has been on leave because of a nervous breakdown he suffered after successfully putting the notorious Hannibal Lecktor (Brian Cox) behind bars; because of his special talent for inhabiting the mind-set of these criminal monsters, Graham puts his sanity on the line one more time. But it won't be easy, for to get a line on this new killer, Graham knows he'll have to visit the imprisoned Lecktor again, and give the lethal Doctor access to his now-delicate psyche.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992)

Synopsis:  Buffy Summers has the lifestyle any young woman could want. Cheerleading, dating the captain of the basketball team, and copious amounts of time spent shopping with friends. She had no idea of her true calling until a mysterious man named Merrick approached her and told her that she is the Slayer; one woman called to defend the world from vampires. Reluctant to concede to the fact, Buffy soon learns that Merrick speaks the truth and so begins to take her new life seriously while trying to maintain the sense of normality her life had once been. With her best friends slowly abandoning her, Buffy finds solace in the town outcast, Pike, who knows very well the terrors that have arisen. The Hills Have Eyes Unrated (2006)

Synopsis:  Wes Craven produces this remake of his 1977 classic of the same name, about the Carters, an idyllic American family travelling through the great American southwest. But their trip takes a detour into an area closed off from the public, but more importantly from society. An area originally used by the U.S. Government for nuclear testing that was intended to be empty...or so they thought? When the Carter's car breaks down at the old site, they're stranded...or are they? As the Carters may soon realize that what seemed like a car casually breaking down, might actually be a trap. This trap might be perpetrated by the inhabitants of the site who aren't pulling a prank, but are out to set up a gruesome massacre.

THE HOBBIT (2012) - Third On-Set Video From Director Peter Jackson



The third on-set video from Peter Jackson's "The Hobbit" is here and it is enchanting to watch. This one focuses on the time spent filming at Pinewood Studios. We get to see Andy Serkis return as Gollum and, for the first time, the actors portraying the thirteen dwarves. Lots of glimpses at the sets and costumes and plenty of insight into the whole production. The first of the two Hobbit movies, "An Unexpected Journey" comes out on December 14, 2012. The second one, "There and Back Again" will be released the following year, on December 13th.

THE ADVENTURES OF TINTIN (2011) - International Trailer



Official Synopsis: DreamWorks presents this computer-animated motion-capture adaptation of Georges Remi’s beloved Tintin comic strip in this first installment of a planned trilogy. Steven Spielberg handles direction duties on the initial film, which is set to be followed by a second film helmed by Peter Jackson, who shares producing duties on the films along with Spielberg and Kathleen Kennedy. Jamie Bell provides the voice of Tintin, with Daniel Craig, Andy Serkis, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, and Toby Jones heading up the rest of the cast. Edgar Wright, Joe Cornish, and Steven Moffat provide the screenplay.

THE HOBBIT - New Peter Jackson On-Set Video



Peter Jackson just released another on-set video which details the filmmaking process of "The Hobbit" the first of two movies based on J.R.R's epic novel, which follows Bilbo Baggins' adventures pre-Lord of the Rings. The production, now in its location scouting phase, should resume production in September. The first of the movies, subtitled "An Unexpected Journey" is scheduled for a December 14, 2012 release. The second one, "There and Back Again", will be released on December 13, 2013.

New on Blu-Ray : THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE MOTION PICTURE TRILOGY (EXTENDED EDITION)

The unforgettable movie trilogy that has forever changed the way we look at epic filmmaking, "The Lord of the Rings" saga, is now released on Blu-Ray, with all three movies featured in their extended form. As you can expect the Hi-Def quality is sharp as always and there are plenty of Special Features to keep you busy for a week or so, not to mention how long it takes to watch all three extended movies (about 11 hours). Fans of Tolkien's work will no doubt enjoy the complete versions of each movie a lot more. If you absolutely love "The Lord of the Rings", you don't mind the extra running time and don't already own the extended editions on DVD, this is one collection you should definitely pick up. The Special Features, curiously, are contained on DVDs. Only the feature films are on Blu-Ray discs. Read on to see what exactly you'll find inside that box.

Evangeline Lilly Joins THE HOBBIT Cast

The casting process for "The Hobbit" is moving forward, the latest additions to the cast being Evangeline Lilly (Kate from "Lost") and Barry Humphries (Dame Edna from "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno"). The news came via Peter Jackson's Facebook account. Lilly will be playing a new character that was not featured in Tolkien's novel. This is one of the major big screen projects for the Golden Globe nominated actress, the other being another supporting role in Disney's "Real Steel" alongside Hugh Jackman this October. She has also appeared briefly in "The Hurt Locker". Peter Jackson also announced they have completed filming some of the studio-set scenes and is now preparing to scout locations.
