Sponsored Post; K-Circlelens

This post is sponsored by K-CircleLens

I choose a pair of lenses from the

Power/Prescription: 0.00 (plano) ~ -10.00
Lens Usage: Up to 12 months (depending on care)
Base Curve Radius: 8.8mm
Diameter: 14.5mm
Water Content: 38%

I have blue-grey eyes, so the effect may differ on those with darker eyes.

The Candy Series has been a popular choice in the gal and circle lens community for a long time thanks to the amazing enlarging, dolly eye effect the lenses create.

K-CircleLens were very professional and packaged the lenses really well...and inside the package I was greeted by a very cute bag.

mirror image fail

The items I received were all so cute, and I'm incredibly happy with the quality of the products I received. They also included a very handy travel case. I've not purchased/received one before so this was really appreciated.

Now onto the lenses...
These pictures were all taken in Autumn lighting, without flash...

without make-up

Note: I was rushed when doing this and didn't have the time for bottom lashes, which is a shame because I think these lenses would benefit even more from wearing them. Next time!

Look:
I adore these lenses. They offer a basic enlarging effect with a simple graduated colour. The colour is simple but effective and they blended so well with my own eyes. I would love to try these out in the green and blue some time.

Feel:
These were comfortable, but not as much as some of my others. My eyes were very itchy (due to allergies) the couple of times I have worn them though so I think a lot of it could be down to that.

If it is your first time wearing lenses, take it slowly and wear them for only a few hours each day so your eyes will get used to them. I wouldn't suggest wearing your lenses for too long unless you know it will be ok, and if they get dry just pop some contact lens-friendly eye solution in - never use water!

Thoughts:
These lenses match the rock-look I have been working into my codes lately, so I adore them. That being said I still think they would work well in sweet/agejo/mode codes etc. and I am looking forward to playing around with a new make-up style with these.

Sponsored post; mukuCHU

This post is sponsored by mukuCHU Circle Lenses

This time I was sent another pair from the

Lenses - Green OL-103

Power/Prescription: 0.00 (plano) ~ -10.00
Lens Usage: Up to 12 months (depending on care)
Base Curve Radius: 8.6mm
Diameter: 14.00mm
Water Content: 38%

I have blue-grey eyes, so the effect may differ on those with darker eyes.

The Wing Series (by GEO) features a darker outer rim giving a larger more defined look. However it creates a more natural colour by evening out the tones.

I would recommend these lenses for those who want an enlarging effect without it being too much. I also happen to think that they work well with most gal styles as they're so adaptable.

Now onto the pictures...
These were all taken mid-morning, in Summer lighting, without flash...

Look:
I had previously tried out the grey lenses in this series and wasn't too happy with the look, but these were perfect for my eye colour. They blended really well and looked natural, they even enlarged my eyes a little with the dark outer edge, which is something other natural-look lenses don't usually offer.

Feel:
These were very comfortable. I wore these for a trial when I met with some friends and it was a very hot day, and my allergies were crazy. However I had my handy eye drops with me and after a few drops the itchy/dry eyes I usually get along with allergies were gone. The lenses themselves felt great; it was like I wasn't wearing any at all.

If it is your first time wearing lenses, take it slowly and wear them for only a few hours each day so your eyes will get used to them. I wouldn't suggest wearing your lenses for too long unless you know it will be ok, and if they get dry just pop some contact lens-friendly eye solution in - never use water!

Thoughts:
I loved these lenses. Mukuchu know me well, I adore green lenses and these did not let me down - a perfect choice on their part. They were comfortable, looked great and were natural whilst still enlarging my eyes slightly and making them stand out. These have now replaced my old favourites!!

It's a 'Life Experience'...

Remember that 'life experience' I was talking about the other day
Well that is the name that my tutor likes to give to the activities and field-trips that we have been taking part in during our stay here in Paris. And this one, was er...certainly interesting...

I'm not a fan of anime or manga, although a lot of people on my course are. Therefore, our tutors thought that they would give us a few days off classes to enjoy one of the biggest expos in Europe related to Japanese pop culture. Yep that's right, they sent me to 'Japan Expo'

Originally I wasn't planning on going for the reasons above, however some of my friends managed to talk me into coming along after talks of silly costumes and other things. I also wanted to give it a chance and 'experience' something new...I like to give things a chance before I say I dislike them

So for those who have also never experienced this kind of thing and for those who are just curious, this post is for you!

I didn't dress up especially for the expo, but it did mean that I was able to add a little drama to my make-up, compared to what I have been wearing latelyNatural, simple make-up is favoured here so anything else tends to turn a few heads.

Tshirt: JSG
Shorts: H&M
Thigh high socks: Donki
Boots: Topshop

I wore my Jeffrey Campbell dupes which went better than I had expected. I also got a lot of compliments on them which was nice.

The friend who managed to persuade me into coming decided the night before that she was going to 'troll' everyone by turning up as Nyan Cat (the latest internet phenomenon), complete with speakers looping the infamous tune. Everyone loved her costume and she was constantly stopped by people wanting her photo. Not bad for a costume made from a cardboard box.

But that's enough chit-chat for now, enjoy the rest of my photos from the event...

I think a lot of the expo was lost on me as I didn't understand much, but the Japanese culture sections were good and I found an interesting stall that I think I will mention in a later post. I also found someone stocking Candydoll cosmetics, but they weren't selling that day and I didn't want to return the following day just for that...shame

 Puri with Nyan Cat

I love the comparison!

I also managed to buy ye ol' Tsubasa's blog book - a book full of her blog entries, fashion/make-up tips and lifestyle items. It's almost 5 years old I think haha
...and the new issue of Popsister, which is really growing on me lately
