NBA Union Boss Predicts 2011-12 NBA Season Will Be Cancelled
According to "The Sporting News," that prediction is from Hunter, who said the entire season will be shut down due to the lockout "if he had to bet on it."
"We're $800 million apart per year," Hunter said at an American Bar Association in Baltimore yesterday-- two days after the players and owners met for three hours and failed to make any progress on a new collective bargaining agreement.
Hunter thinks that a new group of hard-line owners is making it difficult for David Stern to make a deal. This group of newer owners wants to get a bigger return for their investments.
"In the last six or seven years, there is a new group of owners to come in who paid a premium for their franchises," claims Hunter. "And what they're doing is kind of holding his [Stern's] feet to the fire."
"If I had to bet on it at this moment, I would probably say no," said Hunter after he was asked if fans can count on the 2011-12 season.
The two sides will meet again this month, but they have not scheduled a date.
The league had no comment to Hunter's remarks.
Hunter has been the Executive Director of NBPA since 1996. He served as chief negotiator during the 1999 collective bargaining agreement between the NBA owners and the players.
During the 1998-99 lockout, the NBA played 50 games and the league did not start to cancel games until the middle of October.
The countdown starts now-- with ten weeks to go.

Lingerie League Puts 'Fun' into Fundamental Basketball
The professional women's basketball league debuted July 23 and, as the league's slogan says it's, "Where Beauty Meets the Hardwood."
The players wear little more than brightly-colored panties, garters and sports bras. Even a flagrant foul is pretty easy on the eyes and 'driving the lane' just got a whole new meaning.
The Los Angeles-based league has four teams: The Beauties, The Divas, The Glam and The Starlets-- and the girls can play. See for yourself:
The league uses most of the same rules as traditional women's basketball. There is a 35-second clock, two 20-minute halves, but uses a high-school 3-point line. A held ball results in a jump ball between the Amazonian beauties and the "Red Light Special" gives a player 60 seconds to score bonus points.
Trash talking is rampant although there hasn't been a dunk yet. That's OK, because the fans are there to see good, fundamental basketball skills.
Some women's rights groups have already condemned the league-- so what else is new-- but the league has shown to be gaining popularity pretty fast.
How the LBL expects to gain fans around the country when all four teams are based in L.A. is a mystery--oh yeah, they play in their underwear.
Still can't see the WNBA following suit.

NFL Players Asking For Lower Alimony Payments; NBA Watching Closely
According a report in the Bloomberg Business Report, a number of unidentified NFL players are preparing for the worst and looking into modifications of financial support if the dead lock between the NFLPA and team owners shuts down the 2011 season, leaving many players with no income.
The report said if the NFL players are unable to reach a collective bargaining agreement with their union, many more players will be looking for modifications in their support requirements.
The poster-child for child support, New York Jets defensive back Antonio Cromartie, already has his 2 year-old son's mother a little nervous and she is probably not alone. Cromartie is reported to have sired nine children with eight different women.
Tina Julien, a 33 year-old nurse from California, said she is worried about being able to afford child-care for Cromartie's son if the NFLPA and team owners don't shake hands.
"The money I get from him [Cromartie] is definitely important," she stressed. "Something would have to give."
Julien did not disclose how much support she receives from Cromartie. The Jets defensive back made $1.7 million last season.
Raoul Felder, the well-known divorce lawyer with a history of famous clients, said it is not uncommon for the unemployed to make support modifications to ease their situation. He said many Wall Street executives made the same moves during the recent crash.
"The NFL is an industry, and the industry is in trouble," said Felder. "The men can't meet their obligations."
NFL players earn an average of about $1.8 million a year. NBA players earn close to $6 million and are expecting a lockout when their basketball contract expires on June 30.
Judges usually allow modifications for child support during times of financial stress but, only after checking the athlete's outside income and selling off of assets including real estate, autos and even championship rings. The players are not covered by their teams during the lockout and must now pay the added expense of up to $2000 a month for health insurance.
Most pro-athletes can usually afford the hit on their lifestyles during a loss of income, but it is their children's mothers and ex-wives who get clobbered when offered financial modifications.
The players are surrounded by an army of lawyers and agents bent on spreading butter on their own bread, while the women are left holding the licked clean knife unless they cut back or sell their self-esteem to some tawdry reality show.
Even if the NFLPA and team owners hug it out with an agreement, the players won't get their first paychecks until September.

Eva Longoria And Tony Parker Really Are Divorcing, Lets Just Say The Mistresses Are Hot And Topless
Source: www.GutterUncensored.com
This story is really starting to get annoying! First Eva Longoria and Tony Parker were splitting up after reports on Monday said he filed for divorce in Houston, Texas. And then they weren't with Eva Longoria's reps going on the offensive after those reports Tony Parker had filed for divorce from the "Desperate Housewives" star hit the Internet yesterday. Then they aren't again. However, TMZ still insists it was happening because two court officials at the Bexar County, Texas courthouse told them it was filed on Monday and sealed by the judge. And now they are again. But at least we are starting to get topless photos of hot chicks who are willing to fuck a married man now.
Anyway, Eva Longoria, who was once inseparable from her husband Tony Parker Longoria, is now very separable. The two were married in 2007 in a much-publicized ceremony at a city hall in Paris. But today Eva Longoria officially filed for divorce in L.A. County Superior Court. Longoria herself tweeted, "It is with great sadness that after 7 years together, Tony and I have decided to divorce. We love each other deeply and pray for each other's happiness." The actress cited "irreconcilable differences" only because "my husband banged his teammate's wife" wasn't an option on the form. The good news for Eva is Tony was cheating on her with two women who look an awful lot like her! LOL... OK! magazine is reporting:
After Eva admitted she found text messages from the wife of a former teammate of her husband on Tony’s phone, a Sports Illustrated reporter is citing a source who says that woman is Erin Barry. She is going through a divorce from Brent Barry, who played with Tony on the San Antonio Spurs.
Reporter Bryan Graham Tweeted: “Have it on good authority from entertainment sources that “former teammate” in Tony Parker-Eva Longoria affair is Brent Barry.”
He also added, “Don’t have much else on Parker/Longoria affair. Source did mention Barry and wife are going through a divorce.”
Extra’s Mario Lopez, a close personal friend of Eva’s, said she told him that she discovered hundreds of text messages from another woman on her husband’s phone, and the woman turned out to be one of his NBA teammates.
So, a famous NBA basketball player cheated on his wife. Who he hell in their right mind didn't see this coming? The only this shocking about this story is that it took him so long. The funny thing about this is that Eva has stated recently that she has Tony's initials tattooed on her body… in a mystery spot. She also has Tony’s jersey number — "Nine" — tattooed on the back of her neck. So, this divorce is going to be really fun! LOL... From Us Weekly:
Multiple sources tell Us Weekly that Longoria Parker recently discovered that her husband has been exchanging personal texts with a mutual female friend for nearly a year - hundreds in just one month. She plans to file for divorce soon, sources tell Us.Sexy text messages? Seriously? She is ready to pull the plug on a three-year marriage because of that? Tiger Woods fucked half of Florida and it took his wife at least 8 months to decide to divorce him. No, I don't think these sexy text messages were the problem here. I think the problem is Eva Longoria herself because cheating on their wives is what NBA players do. What the fuck, she thought she was better than every other NBA wife? During the whole Tiger Woods scandal I can honestly say I felt bad for his wife because it was truly a surprise to her but I don't feel the least bit sorry for Eva. Her husband was an NBA play on the day they got married so she should have known.
"Eva is heartbroken by the betrayal," says one insider, adding that her husband confessed to the inappropriateness - which took place for nearly a year - after she confronted him. Adds another friend, "Once the trust was lost, the marriage was over."
Nonetheless, the decision to end one of Hollywood’s most affectionate and glamorous romances wasn't easy. "Eva truly thought she was going to grow old with Tony and have children with him," adds the pal. "She’s inconsolable."
Um, not to mention the fact this guy is French, having a mistress is acceptable in France. And he is seven years younger than her and and he is rich, and she's s past her prime now. She knew all this going into the marriage, so why did she marry. Oh I don't know, maybe for the money. I totally blame Eva because fucking strange pussy on the side is what rich black French NBA basketball players do. The dude is in at least five or six stereotypical categories of people who cheat on their spouses. Rich -checked. French -checked. Black man -checked. Lives in Los Angeles -checked. Male -checked. NBA player -checked. Athlete -checked. I will bet you he also owns a BMW. LOL... Stereotypes are so terrible! There were even rumors going back a few weeks of Tony Parker having an affair with French model Alexandra Paressant. So with Eva Longoria, Erin Barry and Alexandra Paressant in his pocket, I got to say Tony has nice taste for tail.
Anyhow, I used to think that a bad NBA point guard was one who looked to shoot first instead of creating shots for his teammates, but now that I think about it, secretly banging your wife on off-days is way worse than not passing it to you at the top of the key for an open jumper. Sure Erin Barry is hot but fucking your coworker's (teammate's) wife is always a bad idea. Unless you like having everybody at the company hating you. By the way, Tony Parker should have filed for divorce in Texas before Eva for divorce in California today. Why do I say this you ask? Let's just say California is not very friendly to the spouse with the more money. Because Eva Longoria is petitioning for "Spousal Support." And she look like a woman who know how to spend money!
