Jenn Sterger Will Be Bowling For Dollars On Spike TV

Former New York Jets game-day/sideline reporter/hostess, Jenn Sterger, is close to getting another television gig once again.  According to the New York Post, Sterger recently filmed a pilot for Spike TV called "Spike's Spare Time," a show where Sterger will interview celebrities while bowling.

Hopefully, the only balls that she will see now weigh 14 pounds and have three holes in them.

Stergen is hoping to put the whole Brett Favre texting mess behind her and get on with her career after a short stint hosting a show on Versus.

She told the Post, "It's [bowling] probably the one sport I'm pretty awesome at."

"I've bowled since I was six," said Sterger.  "I was in all of the youth leagues and a bunch of traveling leagues in Florida."  She claims her average was 189, with an all-time high game of 289.

Sterger also said life has been easier and work is now more attainable since the story of the Favre drama broke last year.

Favre, the former Jets quarterback, was accused of texting photos of his private parts to the sexy brunette.  It was followed by a controversial interview questioning her accountability on ABC television.

"I'm in such a better place," she said.  She hopes her new show puts those rumors to rest that ABC got the interview in exchange for finding her a job.  Sterger claims the allegations were all false.

"Do you see me having a show at ABC?" she asked.  "Nope, not at all."

Favre Gets Off Easy For 'Not' Cooperating With NFL

The NFL let Brett Favre off the hook yesterday by ending its investigation into the quarterback allegedly sending suggestive text messages and graphic photos to female sideline reporter Jennifer Sterger .  The former New York Jets signal caller and alleged sext message sender was fined $50,000 by the league who admitted they couldn't prove he sent the dirty texts and photos.  It looks like the league basically swept the case under the ice-covered turf inside the Metrodome.

In a press release, the NFL announced that commissioner Roger Goodell, after analyzing forensic evidence collected over a two years  span, "could not conclude that Favre violated league policies relating to workplace conduct" after Favre hindered the league's investigation.

"Our investigation took longer than might ordinarily have been the case due to difficulties in arranging to speak with certain key individuals," the NFL statement said.

The NFL let Favre slide on the more serious charges of violating harassment rules, partly because of his stalling tactics.

Forget what is "Ripped from the Headlines" and seen on "Law & Order," admitting your guilt and copping a plea is for chumps--at least in the NFL.  All you have to do there is stall, then retire.  Detective Lennie Briscoe must be rolling in his grave.

The NFL fined the married Minnesota Vikings QB a token 50 G for not being "candid" with the investigators about the accusations he sent the sexually-explicit photos and suggestive texts to the 26 year-old Sterger in 2008 at the Jets training camp.

Goodell determined that Favre's behavior during the probe resulted " in a longer review and additional negative public attention for Favre, Sterger and the league."

The ongoing saga has taken some wild twists and turns.  Favre has admitted to sending the text messages,  but has denied sending the nasty images but the website, Deadspin.com, which first published the photos in October said they all came from the same phone number.  Sterger has left many people questioning why it took her two years to make the incident public--even after Favre left the Jets in 2009.

The commissioner has been criticized for moving the probe at a snail's pace and his delay in making a decision on the case.  Many felt Goodell was protecting Favre, the all-time consecutive games played record holder and NFL icon, until the quarterback retired at the end of this season when a suspension would mean nothing.  Favre had his 297 game streak broken earlier this month and is questionable for the last game of this season--and his career--this Sunday.

The fine is little more than a token nuisance to Favre, who made $10 million this season.  In his world, the penalty takes about three minutes worth of game salary from his paycheck.

Favre may not be fist-pumping after this decision.  Sterger's lawyer, former federal prosecutor Joe Conway said he was "extremely disappointed" in the decision and wouldn't discuss his client's next move.  He said Sterger has not ruled out filing a law suit but preferred no to sue the NFL, the Jets or Favre.  Who's left after them?

Goodell met with both Favre and Sterger earlier this month to discuss the sordid allegations which has centered on the photos of male private parts that the sports website published.  Deadspin.com has been steadfast in claiming the images are self-portraits that  Favre sent Sterger.

Favre, 41,  says he intends to retire after a tumultuous season filled with injuries and other sexual accusations which cannot be confirmed.  The NFL will not have jurisdiction over Favre if he leaves.

The Jets issued a statement saying the team considered the matter over and done with.

NFL Using High-Tech Forensics In Favre Probe

The NFL has reportedly hired forensic experts in an attempt to determine if the dirty cellphone photos of a man's private parts sent to a New York Jets sideline reporter are the of the football great Brett Favre.  Call it CSI: NFL.

Investigators will use the the latest technology to examine a SIM card, phone records, and a cell phone to find electronic fingerprints on the pictures.  The lewd photos were allegedly sent by the former-New York Jets quarterback in 2008 to the comely Jennifer Sterger.  The exchange happened during the Jets training camp and she was a sideline hostess for the team.

Sterger turned over the incriminating  material to the NFL in a 3-hour  meeting with NFL officials on November 12.  The owner of the phone has not been disclosed.

The cutting-edge technology, used by criminal forensic experts, could uncover evidence leading to an electronic trail to the owner of the photos.  One of the photos sent to Sterger reportedly contains an image of a penis, according to ESPN.

In October , the beleaguered Favre confirmed that he left lusty voicemails with Sterger, in an attempt to hook up with the pretty reporter.  He told then NFL's vice-president of security, Milt Ahlerich, that he sent the voice mails but denied sending the X-rated photographs.  The high-tech forensic equipment could trace all messages between Favre and Sterger.

The nasty messages were first reported by the website Deadspin.com after purchasing them from an undisclosed third party.  The website claims the penis-pics and dirty messages came from the same phone number.  Witnesses have claimed that Sterger showed them the photos and joked about it.

One of the romantic voicemails was a note from Favre inviting the 26 year-old Sterger to meet him in his hotel room.  "Just got done with practice, got meetings here for a couple of hours, then I'm going back to the hotel to chill," he says...Send me a text.  I'd love to see you tonight."

At first, Sterger was reluctant to cooperate with the NFL but was later fired (for unrelated reasons--bad ratings) from her duties as a host of a sports-interaction show on Versus and then reached out to them.  The former Playboy model hasn't publicly commented about the incidents.

Meanwhile Favre, a married grandfather, struggles with the alleged fidelity issues at home and injuries and losses on the field. He is facing suspension if the NFL determines he lied about sending the pornographic images to Sterger.  After the Sterger incident became public, two female massage therapists with the Jets came forward with sexual text message allegations against Favre.

Favre, whose Minnesota Vikings were soundly beaten by the Green Bay Packers, 31-3, yesterday, is considered one of the NFL's all-time greats.  The 11-time Pro-baller won a Super Bowl and has a all-time consecutive game streak on the line.

  At yesterday's press conference after the humiliating loss, the weary 41 year-old QB said he will "Go home and reevaluate tomorrow."

"REPORTER" GOES FROM SIDELINE TO UNEMPLOYMENT LINE

Versus Sports Network is cutting the cable on "The Daily Line" TV show, hosted by Jenn Sterger, for lousy ratings.  Sterger is the woman in the middle of the ongoing NFL investigation of Minnesota Viking quarterback Brett Favre concerning amorous voice mails and lewd photos sent to her two years ago.

Meier Raivich, a spokesperson for Versus, confirmed the cancellation of the out-of-bounds interactive sports show due to lack of interest.  In it's seven month run, "The Daily Line" was a ratings black hole averaging 53,000 viewers and a microscopic 0.06 rating.  The last show will be on Thursday, Nov. 4.

Even with all the publicity surrounding the NFL's investigation of Favre, the four-night-a-week show couldn't achieve decent ratings.  Sterger's manager said the canning was 'unfortunate' and "part of the business."

It remains to be seen if the perky host will discuss the Favre allegations on the show before it gets thrown off the air next week.  Sterger has so far refused to speak with NFL investigators about the 2008 voice mails and texts while denying reports she is looking to get a monetary settlement with the shamed QB.  Unemployment has always been a good incentive to change some one's mind about money.

While the former-Jets sideline "hostess" has gotten the boot and ponders her next career move, Favre is wearing one and wonders if his football legacy is over.  On Sunday, Favre will limp into a game against the Patriots on a broken ankle and his consecutive game streak on the line.

Versus, the only channel where you can find hippo-hunting, will replace "The Daily Line" with a hockey show.

VIKING QB COULD FACE SUSPENSION

Brett Favre, the married quarterback of the Minnesota Vikings, has admitted to sending inappropriate text messages to former-Jets sideline reporter, Jennifer Sterger in a twisted bid to rendezvous with the sexy TV personality.  According to Fox's Jay Glazer yesterday, Favre confessed to the voicemails but claimed he never texted pictures of his penis to her.  The NFL has not commented on the situation but if Favre is guilty of violating the league's player-conduct policies, he could be suspended and fined.

Last week, Sterger retained a lawyer, former federal prosecutor Joseph Conway last and, although she has not commented publicly, there is evidence she is "strongly considering" speaking with the NFL about the sleazy 2008 voicemails and texts. There have been indications she could meet with league officials as early as this week.

 Favre denies sending the photos of his privates but a website, Deadspin.com, claims that both the text messages and images originated from the same phone number.

Sterger worked for the Jets and it was in training camp two years ago where the ex-Jets QB became interested the the attractive sideline reporter.

 If Favre is found guilty after the NFL's investigation, look for Commissioner Roger Goodell's punitive decisions to be swift but difficult.  Questions Goodell will have to consider.  Did Favre violate the personal conduct-policy?  Should he be suspended?  For how long? If Goodell suspends Favre, it would put an end to the player's NFL record for consecutive starts.

In one voicemail,  he suggests Sterger meet him at his hotel room.  "Just got done with practice, got meetings here for a couple of more hours..." the grandfather allegedly said, "Send me a text, I'd love top see you tonight." Not exactly XXX, but that's Goodell's call. 

Sterger's manager, Phil Reese said that FBI agents are working to find out who gave her phone number to Favre.  "There is a person of interest... and he is very aware that we know who he is," claims Reese.

"Unfortunately, the person in the picture didn't also hold up their driver's license," said Reese, "So I'm not going to speculate on an identity.  But I'm working with people to diligently get all the facts."

 Sterger is very much a person of interest for league officials.  She is not obligated to cooperate with the NFL.  League spokesperson, Greg Aiello, stressed, " We will continue to pursue opportunities to speak with individuals that potentially have information."

While Sterger has been clamming up--at least for moment--the New York Jets have been cooperating  with the NFL in it's investigation.  The Jets want to distance themselves as far away from  controversy and Favre as soon as possible.  They've had one-too-many sexy reporter incidents after last summer's locker room scandal with Mexican "journalist" Ines Sainz already on their player-conduct rap sheet.

Sterger's lawyers have denied there have been any discussions with Favre about a financial settlement.  She now works as a television host for Versus network.

It's been a rough week for the 41 year old quarterback.  On Tuesday, Favre was grilled by NFL Vice-president of Security, Milt Ahlerich, then yesterday threw three second-half interceptions in a national TV loss to his former-team and division rivals, the Green Bay Packers, and finally gets thrown under the bus by his head coach on Sunday night.

Vikings head coach, Brad Childress, ripped into his QB for throwing a foolish interception and wiping out any chance of a comeback against the Packers in a game that could be the final blow in a disappointing season.  "You can't throw it to them," the coach said,"You've got to play within the confines of our system."

Favre's pathetic attempt to woo Sterger proves the old gunslinger plays "outside the system" off the playing field as well.
