Monday Morning Flux

I'm in the final week of puppy ownership. Eight weeks have flown terribly fast. The only bad thing about caretaking eight puppies is the poop. I'd say shit, but it's not bad when it's puppy size so poop is a better fit. It doesn't have the same smell as regular adult crap which is a benefit to the job although it's still a crappy job cleaning it. Wow what a shitty way to start a Monday!

Thor-oughly Pissed

You know you're a girly girl when you find the cutest lion hat for one of your eight puppies and just HAVE to have it.

Say hi to Thor.

Thor is thinking "why the hell do you have that hat on my head woman?? Don't you know my name's Thor!!"

"I'm supposed to control thunder and lightning dammit, you think they'll respond when they see me in this get up??"

Getting over myself

In an effort to get over myself I will showcase Raspberry one of the four- week old puppies.

She's spoken for like all cute girls are.

Oh gawd I'm doing it again - slap me someone!

Oh my goodness!

My Lilly Bird and her hungry puppies.

It did have my voice on it, but not being particularly adept at this sort of thing I now sound like a chipmunk.

Showing Off

Firepower believes there's now another single Canadian mama, but nope proud to announce this Bitch has a papa in her life. He's not allowed to see the babies cuz like most men he just wants to do her and ya then he'd eat the young....so no.

Life's a Bitch or from one

I've been a tad bit overwhelmed lately.

I have two bichon shih tzu dogs. One female. One male. The male is not even a year yet. I am a new dog owner, we had dogs growing up but I didn't pay attention to certain things...like...reproductive power.

So I was gone 13 days and left both at a kennel. I didn't like leaving them, I cried when I dropped them off in fact. I felt like a mean mommy.

So last Wednesday I picked up my babies.

The kennel operator said "do you know your female is pregnant?"

I'm like "ummmmm..."

"You should have her checked out at a vet", she suggested kindly.

I booked an appointment with the vet for the very next day at 3:00 PM.

Long story short I was at the vet the next day at 12:00 PM with the eighth puppy. The mom had bitten off the cord too close to the belly and he was hemorrhaging to death. He was saved! And now I'm supplementing his food every three hours, even in the middle of the night.

So I've gone from a two dog family to ten in an astonishingly, freakily short time and I'm a little overwhelmed. But still beaming...
