Sponsored post; mukuCHU circle lenses

This post is sponsored by mukuCHU Circle Lenses

For my third set of lenses I choose a pair from the

Lenses - Grey OL-105

Power/Prescription: 0.00 (plano) ~ -10.00
Lens Usage: Up to 12 months (depending on care)
Base Curve Radius: 8.6mm
Diameter: 14.00mm
Water Content: 38%

I have blue-grey eyes, so the effect may differ on those with darker eyes.

The Wing Series (by GEO) features a darker outer rim giving a larger more defined look. However it creates a more natural colour by evening out the tones.

You may remember Tsubasa was the spokeswoman for the Wing Series a few years ago, and it was perfect for her sexy but fun look. I would recommend these especially for the current Mode boom as they give a more mature/sexy look.

Now onto the pictures...
Unless mentioned, all of these were taken in the evening, in Autumn lighting. I have mentioned which were taken with/without flash.

No flash. No make-up.

No flash. With make-up.

Look:
I was tempted by this series when it first came out as I was a big fan of Tsubasa at the time, and I knew they were popular. But when it came to ordering my next pair I had my eyes set on a grey set of lenses and I was drawn to the brand and quality as I had heard good things about them.

I was expecting a dramatic look with these lenses but actually they are more natural looking. They did enlarge my eyes slightly but not as much as previous ones I have worn. However the natural look of these is a plus and they were very similar to my own shade so they blended well.

Feel:
Unfortunately I was unlucky on the day I wore these. I was going out to eat with some friends and for some reason there was a lot of smoke and ash (whilst wearing my ash wings haha) nearby the station which effected my eyes and the lenses really badly...and I had forgotten to take my lens case and solution with me! So the moral of this tale is, avoid smoke/ash and always carry a spare case/solution with you ;D

However before all of this the lenses felt fine and were comfortable.
So maybe I will update this post next time I wear them and let you know.

If it is your first time wearing lenses, take it slowly and wear them for only a few hours each day so your eyes will get used to them. I wouldn't suggest wearing your lenses for too long unless you know it will be ok, and if they get dry just pop some contact lens-friendly eye solution in - never use water!

Thoughts:

I was a little disappointed when I first put these lenses in as I was expecting a dramatic change to my eyes, but after I had applied all my make-up I actually came to like them. As I mentioned before they are very similar to my own shade (blue-grey) so they blended well and even after I had told people I was wearing lenses they said they couldn't tell which I guess is a good thing, right?
However this means that they will probably look quite different on darker eyes, so I wouldn't suggest them if you want a natural look.

I have wanted to try grey lenses for a while as I was curious about them. Now I have realised just how grey my eyes actually are I don't think I would try another pair, unless they were for enlarging purposes or a darker shade.

However don't let this deter you, if you want a dramatic look or have lighter eyes and want something natural then these are for you :D

If you're in the market for grey lenses, then check out Samispoon's post here.
We are both reviewing grey mukuCHU lenses and both had a leopard print vibe going on. Even though I'm over the other side of the world from her we're still very much in tune, don't you think XD
