RIO DE JANEIRO, Sept. 20 -- Argentina on Tuesday moved ahead in the South American Volleyball Championships after a convincing 3-0 win over Colombia.
In the second day of the competition, which is held in the Brazilian city of Cuiaba until next Sunday, the Argentine team was struggling to get ahead as easily as it had done against Chile the day before.
As the Colombians looked poised to make their best effort, the Argentine team took considerable time to find its rhythm, but eventually started to dominate the game to win 25-18, 25-17 and 25-20.
Colombia had entered the second day with a lot of excitement after the team's surprise 3-2 victory over Venezuela in Monday's opening matches.
