Karl's Great Grandfather and Grandfather: Karl W. Koch the First and Second, built the United States Supreme Court Building in 1932. They had a family owned Steel Erection business, and won the contract. (See Pic. Below)
It was said that my Grandfather helped design the marble staircase leading to the Judges Chambers.
(The Supreme Court building celebrated its 75th Anniversary last year. )
Also, Karl's family put a new roof on the US Senate Chamber in the 1950's.
And also erected the steel for many other massive and noteable buildings in Wahington DC and the US in general: Dept. of Commerce, US Treasury Building, etc.
Anyway, as they say in the movie Starship Troopers:
"WOULD YOU LIKE TO KNOW MORE?"
OK, I'll admit I am shamelessly stretching for attention, but the above information is true, and if it is enough of an attention grabbing "Hook" I really hope that President Obama, and the First Lady, who is also a Lawyer, and all of the Justices of the US Supreme Court will read this post, and can somehow hear and understand the anguished plea of the Scambloggers in my Blog List to the Right
and possibly work with the ABA to aid in the plight of the Profession, and to assist all of the law grads, and Student Debtors in the US that are drowning in Student Loan debt for the rest of their natural lives.
That is not the America I believe in.

NEWSFLASH: RE: THE POLL QUESTIONS TO THE RIGHT
As you can see, one of the questions is closed. And well, it looks like there is a prevailing "Let 'em eat Crow or Cake" sentiment out there. I suspected as much too. The Human Heart can be marvelous, but it can also be cold as marble or, if you will, "Marbleous", and wicked indeed! (A little Kitchen Designer/Construction Job humor) There is not too much sympathy from the non-legal community for the predicament of a hapless law grad nowadays. Ouch!
Re: The John Lennon and Elvis question: I have a short story I am writing on the topic, and will be posting it later. It is about the death of Santa Claus. Basically, shortly after New Years, all of the town's children led by a John Lennon type character, embark on a second Children's crusade to the North Pole. There they tell Santa off , and give him back all of his presents. Santa goes up to his room and dies of a broken heart. The next morning, Mrs Claus (Priscilla) quietly, so as not to wake up the baby, Lisa Marie, goes to wake Santa up, and we finally realize that Santa is in fact Elvis, and Elvis has the Stigmata and is in a Santa suit. So John Lennon Fans will not be too happy about the story. (Although the JL character is exemplary and highly moral in his own right) But Yoko will get all the blame (only kidding). But Colonel Parker had John Lennon's number all along. (something like that)
Re: The opinion of LS Administrators and Faculty: I have a vague hint from the results of the poll that all is not very happy in Camp for them regarding this and similar blogs. But a few seem to be a bit open and or sympathetic. Can a group hug be far in the offing? Stay tuned.
And like the cat that swallowed the bird, I just have to let on, with one day left, that Noah built the Ark, and NOT Moses. And the people that chose the last question answered correctly, and what the hell, if you come to one of the Scamblogger parties, we can pair you up with a statistician or something. But there is still time to vote. And to the scientists: How can I say this somewhat delicately? Ummm....Noah and the gang really happened. And they were a jolly good lot of fellows and critters. In real life that is. The story is true, and he is the real deal. You had better straighten yourself out and start reading some Ann Coulter, and get straight on that account as I say. yeah huh.
