I just finished reading a sexy book.
I won it for FREE at the conference this October, and had to sprint to a table and squeeze between a few other women to do it. The reason I did was because I'd pitched my book in a session with this author, and the book she was pitching sounded fabulous (I still want to read it....) then I made the mistake of asking her to read my work, etc, not knowing that she was a published author. Woops. Either way, she was very nice, and she is now one of my FB friends, and I am anxiously awaiting her next book.
This book has it all. Humor, wit, drama, emotion, and....sexiness. I could relate to the main characters, which for me is key. Sophie was fun, and David was sexy as h*ll, but sort of guarded, which we, as women, love. Why? I don't know. Because we are gluttons for punishment, I suppose. But anyway, those two key elements in a romance novel. I found myself screaming at the book...."DO IT, ALREADY!!" And when they did....well. Let's just say: I need to take a yoga class.
*Snort*
Jenna is a quirky writer with a great contemporary voice. I would love to have her level of talent someday. I am throughly impressed with her ability to tell a story succinctly and effectively, all while keeping it cute, fun, and sexy! She is one of my guru's, though she doesn't know it, and probably thinks I'm creepy for saying so. :)
Awesome.
Enjoy!
