Timed writes.

I participated in a timed write with my writers group today. We all logged on and met in a chat, and then did a 30 minute timed write. 

A timed write is like a 30 minute creative burst where you write and write and write, and you don't pay attention to spelling, grammar, etc, you just mass create without thinking. Then, at the end of the timed write, you stop and look at what you've created. I managed to get a few pages into my 5th chapter. It was pretty butchered (grammatically speaking) but was some good stuff overall.

The best part of my new writing group is that I now have a support system. These girls are so fantastic! We encourage each other, and keep each other on task. It's been working wonders for my writing. I feel really good about my latest book. We'll see what happens with it...
