Progress.

I've been making excellent progress on book 2 of the Ominous Secret series!

(You know, every time I hear that word, excellent, I think of the creepy old boss, Mr. Burns, on the Simpsons. Isn't that weird? I'm not even a Simpsons fan. I just hear him saying it in my mind when I write it....excellent....)

But, I digress...so back to my progress. Yes, I've made lots of progress on book 2. And I am so proud of it! The character of Gale has such a bigger role now, as does Leandra Cohen and Nora Parker. I love Nora. She is one of my favorite fictional mothers of all time. Maybe I'll feature her next on my Character of the Day.

Book 2 is really something. I thought I loved book one, but book 2 is really getting to be pretty good! As I edit and write and write and edit, I wonder if all of my effort is in vain. Will anyone besides my friends ever see it? Are my efforts a moot point? I certainly hope not. I love this story! I freakin' love it! The characters are so complex, like real people. They feel like people I know and love, and I find myself thinking about them whenever I am out and about and not writing. I am either a very devoted writer, or a head case. Maybe a little of both.

At least I know that there are 25...no wait! 26 women out there who want to read book 2, so my efforts aren't moot, as far as they're concerned. I'll keep writing to entertain them, and any other fans that come along. Plus, if I don't my head will explode. This progress is really fun. I love seeing how the story is unfolding! Sometimes I am surprised, and I am the friggin' writer!!
