Simple Philosophy

I'm simple. I know I am and it doesn't bother me. In fact I think my simpleness contributes to my general happiness. I am considered intelligent by those who know me, but it didn't take me long once I began hanging out at Roissy to realize I'm at best high average in IQ. I found it incredibly challenging to comment there because my critical thinking abilities at least in written form were/are weak. It took me quite a bit longer to realize I don't enjoy it. 'It' meaning long-winded (to me) debate. I'm simple because I want to be.

I have a simple philosophy and it helps me face every circumstance in life. François de la Rochefoucauld said this "The only constant in life is change." I don't have a clue who that dude is but when I first stumbled on the quote it resonated. It's exactly my experience. The only thing in my life that points to a constant is change. I accept change because what's the alternative, this ability to accept it makes me much less resistant to it than the average Joe. Which I believe makes me happier in spite of my circumstances.

You see even when things are bad I know they'll change.

I did not get the project.

[late edit] But Roissy's back - the world is righted.
