The Gambler

Super tired right bout now. Went to bed at 5:00 AM this morning! An after Xmas Christmas party - the best kind. I came in third in a poker party, there were 30 people playing so I did a'right. Three tables of ten to start, three from each table chosen and then a final table of nine. We don't play Texas Holdem for moula we play for prizes and I got a sweeeet camera - watch for more pics. (don't groan) . The winner of the tourney was a VERY good player and complimented me on my skills, I was flattered. I played well I admit. He took me on a rather large bid - he had a card come up on the river which gave him a great deal of my chips - the probability was 8% for him, 92% for me. He was damn lucky. I play poker maybe three times a year - don't want to give the impression I'm a shark.

Went shopping this afternoon, not the best relaxing way to recover but I needed (ya uh huh) to get bathing suits. I HATE that chore really - I don't think there's a woman alive who likes that job. Okay maybe a couple but not many. I did find a couple I like - is ten bathing suits too many? Prolly.

Tomorrow is the day I find out if the project I've been working on for six months is the successful proponent. It's a MAJOR deal and much celebration will occur should we be chosen. We are so far out in front it will take a major melt-down of the evaluation team to have any other result than us. Tru stry. Should we be the successful proponent I will need to hit the ground running and I don't see life settling for at least a year. My trip to the Mayan Riveria will be the last respite I get. May the sunshine gods shine upon me.
